Overview
Once a Budget or Forecast has been saved, changes to your projected data or Active Actuals Month will not affect it. If you need to correct or update a saved Budget or Forecast, you will need to adjust your Projected data and resave.
Before you Make Changes
We recommend exporting an Upload Forecast Data Template (UFDT) before making any changes to your projected data. This creates a backup of your current projections so you can restore them if needed once the Budget or Forecast has been overwritten.
Updating a Saved Budget or Forecast
- Roll your Active Actuals Month (AAM) backward to the month before the start of the financial year you are correcting - for example, June 2025 for a July 2025 to June 2026 Budget.
- Update your projected data as required. This can be done manually element-by-element, or by exporting the UFDT, making changes and reimporting.
- Go to your main reports and view them in Projected mode. Confirm the numbers reflect your corrected expectations.
- Go to Manage Budgets in the report toolbar and click Save Budget or Save Forecast to overwrite the existing snapshot.
- Roll your AAM forward to your most recent actuals period.
Rolling your AAM backward will not remove any of your actuals data. It temporarily peels back the actuals layer so you can review and update your projected numbers before resaving.
