Overview
When using the Excel integration with Castaway, renaming your spreadsheet after it has already been connected requires a specific process to ensure your existing mappings are retained. This article walks through how to update the integration file name without losing any previously mapped accounts.
Updating the Integration File Name
- In the Forecast > External Sources screen, select the spreadsheet you wish to update from the dropdown under Connect to Your Source.
- Click Refresh Data and navigate to where you have saved the renamed file.
- Click Open. A popup will appear advising that the selected Excel document has a different name from the current integration file.
- You will be prompted with two options - select Update Integration Name to retain your existing mappings and update the file name in the mapping screen.
If you select Add New Integration, Castaway will treat the spreadsheet as a new integration and none of your previous mappings will be retained.
Accidentally Selected Add New Integration?
- Select the newly added integration from the dropdown under Connect to Your Source and click Remove. This deletes the unmapped integration source.
- Select the original Excel source from the dropdown and repeat Steps 1 to 4 above to update the file name correctly.
