Disclaimers
Disclaimers, compilation reports and similar documents are an essential part of presenting financial information to clients and stakeholders, particularly for accounting and advisory firms. Castaway allows you to create a library of Disclaimers that can be applied to individual Storyboards or set as a default across the entire Organisation.
This article covers how to:
- Add a new Disclaimer
- Set the default Disclaimer
- Edit a Disclaimer
- Delete a Disclaimer
While this article uses the term Disclaimer throughout, this feature can be used for any form of text template you want to add to Storyboards, for example, compilation reports or engagement terms.
Who can Manage Disclaimers

When editing an individual Storyboard, you can override the default by selecting a different Disclaimer, editing the default text or removing the Disclaimer from that Storyboard entirely.
Editing a Disclaimer

- The Disclaimer text will appear in a popup window.
- Click on the text to bring up the text edit toolbar and make your changes.
Deleting a Disclaimer

- Select Delete.
Deleting a Disclaimer from the Resources Library will not remove it from any Storyboard it has already been applied to.
