Overview
When you sign up to Castaway you will belong to an Organisation (also referred to as an 'Org'). Your Organisation will typically be your company.
Structuring your Organisation correctly from the start is important to ensure the right people have the right level of access.
Roles and What They Can Do
| Role | Key Permissions |
| Organisation Owner | Responsible for the Organisation's Castaway account, billing, access management and the commercial relationship with Castaway. Acts as a super Admin — can add and remove Administrators and Analysts and change roles as required. |
| Administrator | Can add and remove other Admins and Analysts. Can create Projects and invite Guests to individual Projects. |
| Analyst | Can create Projects and invite Guests to individual Projects. |
| Guest | External to the Organisation. Can only see Projects they have been invited to. Cannot see other Projects within the Organisation. Invited with either Active (full access) or Read Only rights — the inviter sets this prior to sending the invite. |
Project Visibility
By default, Admins and Analysts can see and access all Projects within the Organisation's account. Where restricted access is required, the Private Projects option allows Admins to make specific Projects private, limiting access to invited users only.
Guests are always restricted to the Projects they have been individually invited to and cannot see any other Projects in the Organisation.
